Success can seem beautiful
Success can seem beautiful – but for those that have gone through it know the true feeling can be lonely at times. "Being at the top is a lonely place."
Reaching the heights of your goals could be a great moment but most of us when we get there understand very quickly that most of the time if not all the time what you see at the pinnacle of your success is not what you envisioned.
We all envision it to be something magnificent – we picture the acceptance of those around us – we picture the great feeling of reaching our goal.
Sometimes losing ourselves in the midst of becoming or doing something great can lead us down a very dark alley (place). The struggle to keep the energy of your success whether big or small is something most do not plan for.
We are so short cited that we only envision the initial moment of success. Its like graduating from High School or College and that moment of “wow I did it,” but what now.
As leaders we must lead ourselves first — in that staying grounded to our long-term vision is more important than any short-lived success or goal. We must never forget that reaching the pinnacle of a goal means that the work has just begun. We must remember not to lose ourselves in our goals.
We need to understand that success can be a hinderance to our personal leadership and growth. Staying grounded to the model of LDG Leadership plus Dedication equals growth will better keep us focused. In leading our paradigm of leadership, we can lessen the fatigue of success. Sometimes you have to step away from everything and just regroup.
Dedicate yourself to your personal Leadership and you will Grow and stay Grounded. That is all
